Bill Murray Tells a Crazy Story in the New Trailer for Rock the Kasbah

RocktheKasbah_banner(PCM) Open Road Films debuted the first trailer for director Barry Levinson’s comedy Rock the Kasbah starring Bill Murray as an American talent manager stranded in Afghanistan.

Rock The Kasbah is the story of Richie Lanz, a rock manager with a golden ear and a taste for talent, who has seen better times. When he takes his last remaining client on a USO tour of Afghanistan, she gets cold feet and leaves him penniless and without his passport in Kabul.

While trying to find his way home, Richie befriends a band of misfits and discovers a young girl with an extraordinary voice. Against all odds, Richie will take his last shot at creating an unlikely superstar.

Rock the Kasbah, directed by Barry Levinson (Sleepers, Toys) and written by Mitch Glazer (The Recruit, Scrooged), stars Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel, Danny McBride, Scott Caan, Bruce Willis, and Leem Lubany alongside Bill Murray.

Bruce Willis Is Headed To Broadway In “Misery”

(PCM) Actor Bruce Willis will be making his Broadway debut this fall in the upcoming adaption of the Stephen King novel “Misery”. “Misery” was also adapted into a film back in 1990 which starred Kathy Bates and James Caan.

Willis will star as the bedridden novelist, Paul Sheldon, that was played by Caan in the film version and the iconic role of the psychotic fan Annie Wilkes will be taken on by theater star Elizabeth Marvel.  According to the New York Times, “The play is by William Goldman, who wrote the screenplay for ‘Misery’ (based on the Stephen King novel) and won Academy Awards for his film scripts for ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid’ and ‘All the President’s Men”

Will Frears will direct the upcoming play, which he premiered back in 2012 at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania.  At this time no dates or theater information have been announced for the Broadway show.
