(PCM) It seems that one person is not having such a great time following the Budweiser Made In America Festival held this past weekend in Philadelphia, PA. Rapper A$AP Rocky not only showed up for his performance at the festival about 20 minutes late, allowing him to only perform three songs, but now he has been slapped with an assault charge following an incident with a female fan.
The incident occurred at the Made In America Festival and the alleged victim claims that while A$AP was attempting to make his way through the crowd of dancing fans, with a bunch of women grabbing on his clothing. A$SP turned around and fired an open-hand slap right into the victims face.
The victim is claiming to have sustained injuries from the slap and also whiplash. She filed a criminal complaint with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office, who has reviewed the case and made the decision to charge A$AP with misdemeanor simple assault.
PCM was in attendance at the Budweiser Made In America Festival and although we did not see the alleged incident go down, it is very easy to see how something like this could have happened when dealing with a crowd of 60,000 people. Many we spoke with on-site were disappointed by A$AP’s tardiness to the stage, as he was one of the weekend’s much anticipated performers. The crowd was going insane during this three song set, so it is no doubt that they were all over him when he attempted to venture out into the masses.
