(PCM) The Pretty Reckless have premiered their new music video for “Messed Up World (F’d Up World”). The provocative video was directed by Jon J and Taylor Momsen. who also directed The Pretty Reckless’ last video for “Heaven Knows” that now has over seven million views.
The band’s latest album “Going To Hell” was released by in March and debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. The band continue to tour in support of the new album and will headline the Going To Hell 2014 North American tour later this year. The tour will kick off on September 5th in Orlando FL and will wrap on November 8th in New York City.
Currently, the band has upcoming festival dates including Summer Fest, Tall Creek Mud & Music Fest, Festival D’ete Intl De Quebec, Rock Fest, among others.
(PCM) Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless are dropping their new album “Going To Hell’ today and it is absolutely brilliant. It is the kind of album that defines the spirit of rock n’ roll as it is chock full of attitude, rebellion and raw aggression that speaks to the soul.
Forget any preconceived notions you may have had about vocalist Taylor Momsen, as she has most certainly shed them all and has shown her true colors as extraordinary vocalist and lyricist with the songs that make up “Going To Hell”. Momsen’s vocals are both spell-binding and seductive and she, along with the rest of the band, have without a doubt secured their spot on the top of the rock music world.
From the album’s opener “Follow Me Down” the listener is immediately captivated and we are ready to follow The Pretty Reckless where ever their musical journey chooses to lead us and what a trip it turns out to be!
The album carries the full range of the emotional spectrum and weaves a beautiful story with hard and heavy tracks such as the album’s title track “Going To Hell”, radio single “Heaven Knows” and the brutal “Sweet Things”. The more emotional side of the band is revealed with songs such as “Dear Sister”, the acoustic track “Burn” and the gut-wrenching closing track “Waiting For a Friend”.
The Pretty Reckless are currently out on the road in Europe with Fall Out Boy and are set to return to The States next month for an appearance at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards on April 23rd. The band is also slated to appear at several of this year’s major U.S. rock festivals including Rock On The Range, Rocklahoma, Monster Energy’s Fort Rock, Welcome To Rockville, RockFest Kansas City and more!
(PCM) I, for one, absolutely can not wait for the new album “Going To Hell” from The Pretty Reckless to drop on March 18th. The band, featuring rock’s newest goddess Taylor Momsen, unleashed the video for their hit song “Heaven Knows” today.
You can view the video, which is full of true rock n’ roll rebellion below:
Momsen had the following to say about the track and its’ accompanying video: “How do you sum up a song that is metaphorically speaking about everyone’s life from any general perspective on video? You understate it. We decided to film variations of all of the issues we as a people are facing, whether personal, political or social. We took a lot of shots, each representing some social constant or emotional struggle. Some overt, some subtle, but it’s all in there. Everything is thrown at you from the day you’re born, you’re only chance is to think for yourself…which is not as simple as it sounds.”
Last fall, The Pretty Reckless embarked on a critically acclaimed “Going To Hell” headlining tour in North America. The band will join Fall Out Boy on the “Save Rock And Roll European Tour 2014,” starting February 28, 2014 in Madrid, Spain followed by a string of headlining shows.
