Muppets Most Wanted in Theaters March 21st

Muppets_Most_Wanted_11(PCM) Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London.

But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais.

The Muppets are in trouble when the conniving Constantine gets Kermit thrown in jail and assumes Kermit’s role as leader of the rambunctious group. With the fearless and problem-solving Kermit in jail, who will save the Muppets?

Muppets Most Wanted stars Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal, Ricky Gervais (Night at the Museum), Tina Fey (30 Rock, Date Night), and Ty Burrell (Modern Family).

Also appearing in the film is a whole bevy of well known actors: Tom Hiddleston, Salma Hayek, Christoph Waltz, Danny Trejo, Stanley Tucci, Debbie Ryan, Lady Gaga, Zach Galifianakis, Ray Liotta, Jemaine Clement, Ross Lynch, Sean Combs, Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Usher Raymond, and Tony Bennett among others.

Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted is directed by James Bobin and produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Bobin co-wrote the screenplay with Nicholas Stoller, who is also executive producer with John G. Scotti. Featuring music from Academy Award®-winning songwriter Bret McKenzie.

Muppets Most Wanted is the Muppets’ first movie since 2011′s The Muppets which introduced the new muppet Walter and did very well, winning the Academy Award for Best  Original Song for “Man or Muppet” and grossed over $88 million in the U.S. alone.

Muppets Most Wanted hits the big screen March 21, 2014 and has a run time of 1 hour and 52 minutes. The film is rated PG for some mild action.
