Cesar Chávez in Theaters March 28th

Cesar_Chavez_2(PCM) This spring, the intense historical drama Cesar Chávez will open in theaters on a limited release starting March 28th.

Directed by Diego Luna, Cesar Chávez chronicles the birth of a modern American movement led by famed civil rights leaderand labor organizer, Cesar Chavez.

Torn between his duties as a husband and father and his commitment to bringing dignity and justice to others, Chavez embraced non-violence as he battled greed and prejudice in his struggle for the rights of farm workers.

His triumphant journey is a remarkable testament to the power of one individual’s ability to change the system.

Starring in Cesar Chávez are Michael Peña (Shooter, American Hustle) as Cesar Chávez, Rosario Dawson (Sin City, Seven Pounds), John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich, Burn After Reading), America Ferrera (Ugly Betty, End of Watch), Jacob Vargas (Traffic, Death Race), and Yancey Arias (Live Free or Die Hard, Legion).

Diego Luna, known for his roles in Y Tu Mamá También (2001), Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights (2004),Milk (2008), Contraband (2012), and Elysium (2013), has taken up the role of director for Cesar Cháves, his fourth time since 2007′s J.C. Cháves.

Cesar Chávez is already receiving positive reviews; the film currently has a rating of 7.5/10 on IMDB.
