(PCM) Open Road Films presents Jon Favreau’s latest comedy Chef, in NY and LA theaters starting May 9.
Chef Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) suddenly quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner, he is left to figure out what’s next.
Finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife, his friend and his son to launch a food truck. Taking to the road, Chef Carl goes back to his roots to reignite his passion for the kitchen — and zest for life and love.

ComingSoon.net gave the film a glowing review of 8.5/10, calling it a “sharp, tightly-written screenplay that works on many levels” and praising Favreau’s performance as “one of his best in many years, creating a well-rounded character.”
Chef boasts a star-studded cast; starring in the film are writer/director of the film Jon Favreau (Elf, Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Her, Don Jon), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, The Avengers), Sofia Vergara (Modern Family, Machete Kills), Dustin Hoffman (Kung Fu Panda, Little Fockers), John Leguizamo (Ice Age, Ride Along), Bobby Cannavale (Win Win, The Station Agent), Amy Sedaris (Elf, Chicken Little), Oliver Platt (Love & Other Drugs, 2012), and Garry Shandling (What Planet Are You From?, Iron Man 2).
Jon Favreau has previously directed Elf, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Zathura: A Space Adventure, and Cowboy & Aliens and is directing Disney’s upcoming Jungle Book.
