(PCM) Clarius Studio is set to release And So It Goes…, a comedy/drama/romance film starring Diane Keaton and Michael Douglas and directed by Rob Reiner this summer and despite the lack of any trailers or posters, those actors with that director and those genres already sounds pretty promising.
And So It Goes… is the story of a selfish self-centered real estate agent (Michael Douglas) who is handed some lemons by life when his estranged son unexpectedly shows up on his doorstep and drops off the granddaughter he’s never known.
Not much else is known about the plot besides that story line but I’m sure there are some heartfelt moments, some tear-jerkering scenes, probably some laughs, and definitely a good time if that’s what you’re looking for this summer amidst all the action-packed blockbusters coming out.
Starring alongside Diane Keaton (Annie Hall, Something’s Gotta Give) and Michael Douglas (The Game, Behind the Candelabra) are Sterling Jerins (World War Z, The Conjuring), Frankie Valli (Grease, The Help), John Scott Shepherd, Frances Sternhagen (Misery, The Mist), and Yaya Alafia (The Kids Are Alright, In Time).
Directed and produced by Rob Reiner, who is responsible for such classics as This is Spinal Tap (1984), The Princess Bride (1987), When Harry Met Sally…(1989), and Misery (1990), And So It Goes… is looking like it has a lot of potential to warm some hearts this summer.
And So It Goes… is rated PG-13 for some sexual elements and drug references and opens in theaters nationwide starting July 11!
