(PCM) New reports have surfaced during an investigation by MotherJones.com that reveal extreme cases of animal neglect, drugging and killing that are all part of the Animal Planet hit series “Call Of The Wildman”.

The seven month long investigation took a in-depth look into the practices of Erine “Turtleman” Brown, Jr and Sharp Entertainment the company behind “Call Of The Wildman”.  Both Brown and Sharp have been accused of numerous counts animal abuse and what is truly going on behind-the-scenes is far, far away from what viewers see in the finished production.

Everyone these days has some realization that reality TV is not very “real”, however the information that has surfaced during the Mother Jones investigation is quite an eye-opener. There is the incident with the three baby raccoons who were “rescued” by “Turtleman” and when they were eventually brought to a shelter on their death bed and another incident of a zebra being drugged for production purposes which is completely and totally against law.

The show has been accused of planting animals for rescue which are obtained from trappers and wildlife refuges and those that work on the show are required to sign a confidentiality agreement that threatens a fine of up to $1 million dollars in damages if breached.  Three sources from the show, under the strictest confidence, supplied Mother Jones with production reports and statements about many of these horrific practices that take place.  You can see a full video about the Mother Jones investigation below:
