Clever China Eastern Airlines Passenger Cheats System and Eats Free For a Year

file0001360139839(PCM) There are lots of different ways you can save money while traveling through the airport; don’t check any bags, volunteer to be bumped from your flight, pack a snack, etc., but few people live life as far on the edge as one China Eastern Airlines’ passenger.

As Kwong Wah Yit Poh reported, a passenger on China Eastern Airlines used a first class ticket to enjoy meals and beverages in the VIP Lounge in Xi’an in Shaanxi, China for almost a year.

The passenger got away with it by changing the itinerary for his ticket; a worker for China Eastern Airlines noticed that the passenger’s itinerary had been changed over 300 times and decided to investigate the matter.

The airline says that there is no action they can take against the passenger, even if his actions of ripping the airline off were completely intentional.

While this bold move probably wouldn’t fly in most major airports, you have to give this guy props for his innovation alone.

The passenger cancelled his ticket for a refund before it expired, essentially gaining a year’s worth of VIP food, beverages, and treatment for $0.
