(PCM) During a concert in New Hampshire last night, singer Bret Michaels had to be rushed off the stage and evaluated by paramedics due to a major health scare. For those that don’t know, Michaels has been living with type 1 diabetes since he was a child.
Michael’s guitarist Pete Evick took to the singer’s Facebook page to explain the situation to fans and let everyone know that Michael’s blood sugar had dropped to an extremely low number. Evick made sure to note that Michael’s is a true health fanatic and always monitors his blood sugar regularly. This was definitely a rare incident!
In face, Michael’s even returned to the stage for a moment to let the fans know that he was unable to continue and Evick wrote on Facebook that Michael’s “basically had to be dragged from the stage in his sickest of conditions”. Evick went on to say that even while being evaluated by the paramedics, Michael’s who could barely speak, to Evick to apologize to the fans and appeared to be only concerned about their well being.
Late last night another Facebook post went live from Team Bret thanking the on and off duty paramedics who assisted Michael’s saying “No words can thank you enough”.
We certainly wish Michaels a safe and speedy recovery and are without a doubt keeping him in our thoughts.
