Days-Of-The-new1

(PCM) There has been amazing news unleashed for fans of the hit nineties band Days Of The New!  The classic Days Of New line-up is reuniting for a summer tour this year!

The tour this summer will mark the first time the original foursome have played together since October of 1998, which means it has been nearly sixteen years since the band has taken the stage together.

Days Of The New first made their mark on the music scene back in 1997 with their platinum selling self-titled debut album, however shortly after the band’s 1998 tour with Metallica, bassist Jesse Vest, guitarist Todd Whitener and drummer Matt Taul left the band, leaving frontman Travis Meeks to continue with new musicians under the Days of the New name, while the other three went on to form the band Tantric.

Vest had the following to say about the reunion, “I’ve experienced plenty of success in other projects, but nothing ever felt like Days did. This band was never easy, but the music was always magical.” Meeks adds, “There will be some very exciting and different things planned for each show.”

In other fantastic news, the band is currently working on an EP of new material which is set for release this fall. A full list of upcoming tour dates can be found below:
