(PCM) The timing could not have been any more perfect for Eminem to release his newest video for “Headlights” feat. Nate Ruess this past Mother’s Day.
The video, which was directed by Spike Lee, is shot from the perspective of Eminem’s mother with video clips and photos from Em’s youth spliced in throughout. It is also of note that Spike Lee has not sat in the directors chair for a music video since Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” back in 2009.
The track “Headlights” feat. Nate Ruess is featured on Eminem’s latest album release “The Marshall Mathers LP 2″ and lyrically it is an incredibly heartfelt apology to his mother for all the lyrical hate he has directed at her over the years since the beginning of his career.
Eminem will be hitting the road with Rihanna for select performances this summer, and has also recently announced he will be performing at Wembley Stadium in the UK on July 11th.
