Sponsored Post: Burger King Subservient Chicken Redemption

We always love a good redemption story, so when it was brought to our attention that Burger King’s Subservient Chicken was back in action we could resist digging a little deeper and finding out just what happened after Subservient Chicken dropped out of the spotlight.

It was ten years ago when Subservient Chicken was at the very height of his popularity starring in advertisements for Burger King’s TenderCrisp campaign. The incredibly popular ad’s were interactive (something very cutting edge at the time) and people could visit the Subservient Chicken website and type in commands for him to complete all kinds of tasks such as moon walking, laying an egg, picking his nose and head banging to name a few. Subservient Chicken never put up a fight and willingly completed whatever task was thrown at him.

Alas, all good things must come to an end and once the TenderCrisp campaign came to end, people moved on to the next biggest thing. In the case of poor Subservient Chicken, that happened to be a sneezing panda. Subservient Chicken soon found himself hitting rock bottom.

He received one last job from his agent before being dumped as a client, which was performing at a bratty child’s birthday party, where the ridicule he received was almost too much to stomach. Subservient Chicken was then homeless and forced to look to a live of crime before things finally began to turn around.

A boxing trainer found Subservient Chicken on the street and with the help of an incredible training team they were able to assist with transforming Subservient Chicken into Chicken Big. Subservient Chicken is back and he is subservient no more! Burger King has brought him back to the spotlight and he is now promoting the fast food chain’s newest sandwich the Chicken Big King. He’s cleaned up his act, and has given the wheel to the people to show what they can do, in promotion of the Chicken Big King Sandwich.
