(PCM) It has been over 30 years since rocker Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off of a bat while performing on stage in 1982. Ozzy claims that he was drunk at the time of the incident and thought that it was a rubber bat and not the real thing.
Ozzy obviously figured out pretty quickly that the bat was alive and well and claims it even bit him in the process as he was chomping off its’ head. The incident, because of the bite, also caused Ozzy to have to be treated for rabies, which is not a pleasant ordeal at all.
Now, it seems, so 30 years later the bats are taking their revenge. Ozzy and his wife Sharon Osbourne were planning to convert a barn located on their property in Buckinghamshire, England into a two bedroom, however their plans were stopped dead in their tracks.
It was discovered that brown long eared bats are residing in the barn and they are not allowed to be disturbed. The bats’ natural habitat is prevented from being damaged by law and they surveyor who came to look-over the Osbournes planned project said that any work done to convert the barn would affect the bats. It could potentially take years for Ozzy’s plans to be approved.
Gotta love karma sometimes, huh?
