(PCM) IFC Films released the trailer for the drama Camp X-Ray starring Kristen Stewart, check it out below!
Camp X-Ray is the story of a young woman who joins the military to be part of something bigger than herself and her small-town roots.
Instead, she ends up as a new guard at Guantanamo Bay, where her mission is far from black and white. Surrounded by hostile jihadists and aggressive squadmates, she strikes up an unusual friendship with one of the detainees.
As two people on opposite sides of a war, they struggle to find their way through the ethical quagmire of Guantanamo Bay. In the process, they form an unlikely bond that changes them both.
Camp X-Ray sounds pretty heavy.
Starring alongside Kristen Stewart are Peyman Moaadi (A Separation, About Elly), John Carroll Lynch (Shutter Island, Gran Torino), Lane Garrison (Shooter, Quality of Life), and Tara Holt (Victim, Small Apartments).
Camp X-Ray was written and directed by Peter Sattler, who previously wrote and directed the 2001 short film Newton and is know for his work in the art department for films such as Take Me Home Tonight, Star Trek, Walk the Line, and Black Snake Moan.
Camp X-Ray opens in theaters on a limited run starting October 17, 2014.
