Matthew McConaughey is Determined to Not Let the End of Earth be the End of Humans in New ‘Interstellar’ Poster

Interstellar(PCM) Paramount Picture’s just released the poster (via Empire) for Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi mystery Interstellar, in 2D and IMAX theaters November 7, 2014, which you can check out right here!

No official synopsis of Interstellar‘s plot has been released yet but so far we know that the film follows a group of explorers led by Matthew McConaughey who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

From the trailer we can infer that the Earth is dying and humankind is in desperate need of a new planet to call home, hence the reason for McConaughey’s voyage into the unknown.

Based on the new poster, it looks like one of the possibilities for a new home for humankind could be a frozen tundra.

Starring alongside Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar are Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Bill Irwin, Mackenzie Foy, Topher Grace and David Gyasi.

Interstellar is written by Christopher Nolan and his brother Jonathan Nolan , whose previous writing credits include many films directed by his brother; Memento (2000), The Prestige (2006), The Dark Knight (2008), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

Jonathon Nolan is also developing/writing/directing Warner Bros. Pictures’ remake of the 1973 thriller Westworld, whose original writer Michael Crichton declined to write the screenplay for the remake.
