The Vicious Brothers’ ‘Extraterrestrial’ Opens in Theaters November 21st

(PCM) IFC FIlm’s sci-fi horror film is about a group of friends on a weekend trip to a cabin in the woods who find themselves terrorized by extraterrestrial visitors.

Extraterrestrial, written by the creators of the Grave Encounters series, the Vicious Brothers, and directed by one half of the Vicious Brothers, Colin Minihan, opens on VOD on October 17th and in select theaters November 21st. The official synopsis follows below.

Still reeling from her parents divorce, April, played by Brittany Allen is dragged back to the vacation cabin she spent fond summers at as a child accompanied by a group of friends.

Her trip down memory lane takes a dramatic and terrifying turn when a fireball descends from the sky and explodes in the nearby woods.

Lead by her boyfriend, played by Freddie Stroma, the group venture out toward the crash site and discover the remnants of a ship from another planet along with footprints that suggest its alien occupants are still alive.

The college friends soon find themselves caught in the middle of something bigger and more terrifying than anything they could ever imagine.

Starring in Extraterrestrial are Brittany Allen (Defiance, Dead Before Dawn 3D), Freddie Stroma (Harry Potter & The Half Blooded Prince, Pitch Perfect), Melanie Papalia (American Pie Presents: The Book of Love, The Den), Jesse Moss (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, Final Destination 3), Anja Savcic (I Love You, Beth Cooper, Repeaters), Sean Rogerson (Grave Encounters, Underworld: Revolution), Emily Perkins (Juno, Ginger Snaps), Mike Kovac (Reasonable Doubt, Baby Sellers), and Fred Keating (Final Destination, Grave Encounters).

Reviews for the Vicious Brothers’ third screenplay have not been sugar coated. Den of Geek! gave the film 2 out of 5 stars, saying: “There is still likely an audience for Extraterrestrial that will appreciate the visual cues and campy tone toward the whole proceedings. However, this is still one horror movie that truly belongs out of this world…and as far away from any movie screen as possible.”
