A New Species of Dinosaur Wreaks Havoc in First Full Trailer for ‘Jurassic World’

Jurassic-World1(PCM) Universal Pictures debuted the first full trailer for Jurassic World, just one day after the tesser trailer hit the web and two days before its announced debut date of Thanksgiving.

Why the ful trailer came out today and not on Thanksgiving during NBC football is currently unclear, but there are no complaints from us here at PCM.

Finally, we get a full view of Jurassic World, the dinosaur theme park as originally envisioned by Dr. John Hammond. Rides, a watershow, and safaris with real live dinosaurs are just a few of the park’s short lived amusements.

In a series about dinosaurs running amok and wreacking havoc, its easy to see how terribly a fully functioning dinosaur theme park can go.

Jurassic World picks up 22 years after the first test run of John Hammond’s theme park on Isla Nublar went horribly wrong and resulted in many deaths and an island that was taken over by highly adaptive dinosaurs.

The new trailer reveals that scientists at Jurassic World have not just tamed the dinosaurs on the island, but have created a genetically modified hybrid; a new species of dinosaur.

Chris Pratt wisely and ominously notes in the new trailer that the decision to create a new species of dinosaur is probably not the best idea to put into action, but, of course, the dinosaur has already come into fruition, proving to be smarter, faster, and dealier than any of the dinosuars on the island.

What could possibly go wrong on an island filled with people, dinosaurs, and one super-killer dinosaur? Probably everything, but watch the full trailer below to see for yourself.

Jurassic World, written and directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) with co-writer Derek Connely (Safety Not Guaranteed), stars Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help), Vincent D’Onofrio (Law & Order: Criminal Intent), Irrfan Khan (Life of Pi), Judy Greer (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Katie McGrath (The Adventures of Merlin), Lauren Lapkus (Blended), Ty Simpkins (Insidious), Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer), B.D. Wong (Law & Order: SVU), and Omar Sy (Intouchables).

Jurassic World is executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Jon Jashni with Patrick Crowley, Thomas Tull, and Frank Marshall serving as producers.

Academy Award-winning Up composer Michael Giacchino is creating the score for Jurassic World, now in post-production and slated to open in 2D, 3D, amd IMAX theaters nationwide June 12, 2015.
