A New Trailer and Four New TV Spots For Ridley Scott’s ‘Exodus: Gods and Kings’

ExodusGodsandKings(PCM) 20th Century Fox is gearing up for the upcoming awards season, releasing a new trailer and four new TV spots for Ridley Scott’s epic biblical drama, Exodus: Gods and Kings, opening in theaters December 12, 2014.

The new trailer focuses on the bitter battle between brothers; the prophet Moses fighting for the freedom of his people while Ramses II, the hubris-ridden Pharaoh, fights to control his empire.

The trailer along with the new TV spots take us inside the rich, full, and dark world of ancient Egypt. Rivers run red with blood and locusts cover every surface as the Ten Plagues come over the land, bringing the book of Exodus to life in some pretty striking visuals.

Exodus: Gods and Kings stars Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Aaron Paul, John Turturro, Sigourney Weaver, and Ben Kingsley and is the 24th film of three-time Academy Award-nominated director Ridley Scott.

Scott is currently filming The Martian, a sci-fi thriller starring Matt Damon as a stranded astronaut on the harsh and unforgiving planet of Mars, faced with impossible odds, set to hit theaters November 25, 2015.

Scott is also working on an untitled Blade Runner project with original Blade Runner writer Hampton Fancher and Green Lantern writer Michael Green.

Green, who is penning DC Comics’ The Flash, starring We Need to Talk About Kevin‘s star Ezra Miller, is also working with Ridley Scott on the sequel to Prometheus; Prometheus 2 is due in theaters March 4, 2016.
