(PCM) The news was revealed that Pixar has signed on to make “Toy Story 4″ and what is even more exciting is that it will be directed by John Lasseter who helmed the original film.
The new film is set for release on June 17th, 2017 and according to the LA Times the new film will pick up where the previous film left off with a bit of a love story, where Andy gave all of his toys to a young girl named Bonnie.
Lasseter will create the story along with Lee Unkrich, who directed “Toy Story 3″, Pete Doctor who directed “Up” and Andrew Stanton who directed “Finding Nemo”! With such an array of Pixar all-stars, “Toy Story 4″ is sure to be a stellar hit.
It is said that the treatment for “Toy Story 4″ has been in development for nearly two years and they have brought in actress Rashida Jones and Will McCormick to complete the screenplay.
According to Variety.com, actors Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are also on board for the franchise’s fourth installment to reprise their voice-acting roles as Woody and Buzz.
Pixar as a company has a lot on the horizon for the next few years as they will release “Inside Out” and “Good Dinosaur” in 2015, the “Find Nemo” sequel “Finding Dory” in 2016 and now “Toy Story 4″ in 2017! Definitely exciting news … we can’t wait!
