(PCM) The group of individuals who call themselves “The Guardians Of Peace” who claimed responsibility for the massive Sony hack, have released a new warning which references the 9/11 terrorist attacks and upcoming violence in movie theaters.
A message from the group was posted on Pastebin which read “”We have already promised a Christmas gift to you. This is the beginning of the gift.” The posting also contained the following warning:
We will clearly show it to you at the very time and places “The Interview” be shown, including the premiere, how bitter fate those who seek fun in terror should be doomed to.
Soon all the world will see what an awful movie Sony Pictures Entertainment has made.
The world will be full of fear.
Remember the 11th of September 2001.
We recommend you to keep yourself distant from the places at that time.
(If your house is nearby, you’d better leave.)
Whatever comes in the coming days is called by the greed of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
All the world will denounce the SONY.
In light of the recent threats, many theaters across the country are already beginning to consider pulling the film which is scheduled to be released on Christmas Day, December 25th.
Thus far Sony Pictures has not responded to the news about the new threat nor has the FBI released any updated information or commentary.
There have also allegedly been other posts made to Pastebin and Friendpaste that ask Sony employees to contact them if they do not want any of their correspondence to be leaked. The group is requesting that these individuals give them their name and business title to have their data taken down.
The message warned about forthcoming disclosure and also gave out links to file sharing sites that contain the information that has already be leaked. This information includes unreleased Sony films, embarrassing emails between Sony executives and Hollywood stars, as well as secret deals, movie star salaries, and employee medical and social security information.
The hack is definitely as a result of the upcoming release of the Sony Pictures film “The Interview” which stars Seth Rogen and James Franco. The plot centers around a CIA plot to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
North Korea has claimed no responsibility for the hack however they did call it a “righteous deed”. Some people are even beginning to speculate that the hack could be the result of an inside job at Sony, rather than an outside organization or group.
Scary threats nonetheless, will you be planning on seeing “The Interview” when it is released?
