Brett Young Takes Over CMA Music Festival

Brett Young made a stellar impression during CMA Music Festival. With fan demand at an all-time high, the two-time chart-topper kicked off the week with a performance on the outdoor stage downtown for Music City Gives Back prior to Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The event, which benefitted the W.O. Smith Music School, teased what was to come during the action-packed festival.

Bolstering the momentum on Wednesday night (6/7), Brett made his CMT Music Awards show debut with a performance of the Platinum-selling “In Case You Didn’t Know.” The heartfelt ballad shot up to No. 1 on the iTunes Top Country Songs and No. 4 on the All Genre Top Songs charts immediately following his rendition on the Firestone stage.

The strapping singer/songwriter surprised a packed crowd at Nissan Stadium on Friday night (6/9), taking center stage for another performance of the song which solidified him as the only Country artist to release a song this year to officially be RIAA Platinum-certified. All 50,000 attendees went wild when Brett was introduced and sang along intently. Sounds Like Nashville shared of the experience, “[Brett] shared his beautiful ballad ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ to thousands of fans in attendance also providing a solid case to be asked back to the stage next year.”

He continued with additional sets throughout the weekend for capacity crowds at the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage (6/10), Bumble’s “You Look Good” Bee.tique (6/10) and the HGTV Lodge (6/11). For fans who weren’t able to catch Brett during CMA Music Festival, he hits the road again this week for Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga (6/14) before continuing on Lady Antebellum’s YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR in Raleigh (6/15).
