(AOTN) The fans have spoken and protested in droves when the news was revealed that our beloved Netflix Original series “Sense8” had received a cancellation from the network. The season two finale of the series was left incredibly open-ended and *Spoiler alert* it was the first time in the series that all of the main cast were actually together in real-time in one location, gearing up to fight the battle of their lifetime and then BLAM! Cancelled!
Fans were of course outraged and many put together petitions and sent them out to Netflix, others physically mailed the network pairs of flip-flops and the hash-tag #RenewSense8 became a trending topic across the globe.
Despite the fans protest Netflix stood by their decision and stated multiple times that the series would not be returning, that is until now! In an amazing change of heart, Netflix has revealed they have given in to the power of fandom and “Sense8” will now be getting a two-hour finale special!
We are thrilled to see that this amazing series will be getting the ending that it truly deserves! Show co-creator Lana Wachowski posted the following message on Twitter thanking fans for their unwavering love and dedication to the series:
