(PCM) To add to our ever-growing list of fashion trends we will never understand let us introduce you to the “chain bra”. The chain bra is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, a grouping of silver or gold chains formed into the shape of a bra, that is sometimes bedazzled with some sort of beads or crystals.
It is generally worn on top of a tank top or underneath of some kind of low-cut tops or kimono-style jacket and it looks about as ridiculous as it sounds. These seriously can’t be comfortable at all!
The chain bras have been making their appearance at various summer music festivals (*cough, cough* Coachella) and various celebrities and fashion icons, if you can really call them that, have been spotted sporting the trend.
We believe that the chain bras are meant to be worn like a piece of jewelry over top of the clothing and as a strong reminder that they are still very much a trend, Forever 21 has a slew of them in various styles available on their website and in-stores. We still don’t really see their purpose, but hey to each their own, right?
