Chester Bennington of Linkin Park Commits Suicide

According to TMZ, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park has committed suicide. Law enforcement sources has told TMZ the singer hanged himself at a residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. Bennington’s body was discovered just before 9 a.m. Thursday, July 20th. More on the story as it develops.

Chester was married with 6 children from 2 wives.

The singer struggled with drugs and alcohol for years. He had said in the past he had considered committing suicide because he had been abused as a child by an older male. Bennington was a huge fan of Chris Cornell and wrote him an open letter then he past. Today happens to be the birthday of the late Cornell, he would have been 53 years old.
