SEETHER brought their Poison The Parish Tour into Philadelphia’s most beautiful venue which is The Fillmore Philadelphia, The band is out currently in support of their new release Poison the Parish, which features their latest hit singles “Stoke The Fire” and “Let You Down” which spent four weeks at #1 on Billboard charts. Poison The Parish debuted at #1 on Billboard Hard Rock Albums Chart, #14 on Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, #8 on Billboard’s Current albums chart – selling over 31,000 copies in the first week. Seether packing out the Fillmore to near capacity with over 1,500 fans in attendance for their dark moody set bringing with them special guests Letters From The Fire and Dallas, Texas band Big Story.
Launching the evening was 5-piece Progressive Rock, Dallas, TX based band Big Story, currently out in support of their self-titled album, which was produced by Matt Noveskey of the Platinum Alternative Rock group, Blue October, at Orb Studios in Austin, TX. Their single “Daydream” was definitley a highlight of their set which also really allowed vocalist Randall Stephens’s vocals to really shine. The band really knows how to grasp the attention of the crowd and work the stage with a great stage presence. Next was San Francisco, California band Letters From The Fire, which is a band who has been rapidly on the rise touring with acts like Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry, Adelitas Way, and Lacey Strum. Touring hard in support of their debut album Worth the Pain (debuted at No. 18 on Hard Rock Album Charts), which has two singles that can be heard occasionally on the radio “Worth The Pain” and “Give In To Me.” This female fronted band are a hard rock band that has been around since 2012, but have really started to gain a solid following through lots of touring and radio play. LFTF have lots of amazing guitar riffs, soaring vocals, and catchy choruses that are guaranteed to be stuck in your head. Alexa Kabazie is a commanding front woman who demands the crowds attention during their set and thrives off energy from the crowd which shines brightly during their as the bands overall stage presence is a powerful force. Their 8 song set was a very impactful set and it appeared almost all of the crowd knew their music as fans were singing along, moshing to their music. LFTF song “At War” allowed the audience to see the true emotion of Kabazie. Other songs that were notable include “Worth the Pain,” “Last December,” and the song that finished out their set which was “Give In To Me” which really got the crowd singing along. Make sure you keep both Big Story & Letters From The Fire on your radar as they are guaranteed to have a very successful future soon.
Seether bringing their dark sound onto a stage that fit the music perfectly, dark moody lighting throughout their entire set except for during some of their more upbeat songs like “Remedy” and “Fake It” in which the stage lit up brighter for. Launching onto the stage with a smash hit of their “Gasoline” as S’s standing for Seether illuminated on Clint Lowery (of Sevendust) and Dale Stewarts mic stands as well as Shaun Morgan’s mic stand having an illuminated of what appeared to be a satanic rabbit. The band currently out in support of their seventh full-length studio album, titled Poison The Parish which happens to be the first release via frontman Shaun Morgan’s new label imprint Canine Riot Records. This album also happens to be the bands heaviest and emotionally pure records of the band’s eminent career. One thing I love about Seether shows is that there is very minimal to no chit chat between songs with the exception of Shaun Morgan thanking the crowd for coming out. Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery is a great addition to the band, after the departure of longtime guitarist Bryan Wickmann. The 15 song setlist for the evening was mostly Seether’s older material with hits like “Fine Again,” “Country Song,” “Words As Weapons,” and “Remedy” which the crowd was thrilled about. A notable piece of Seether’s set would definitley have to be when they performed “Broken” with Letters From the Fire front woman Alexa Kabazie filling in for Amy Lee for a beautiful performance of “Broken.” Another notable part of Seether’s set would have to be their performance of “Rise Above This” which just really showcased the bands overall talents. This tour is definitley a huge success for Seether’s massive career as the tour has been doing really well in every city and allows the band to showcase their new music but also give the fans a beautiful blend of their hits as well to remind them why we all love Seether’s music.
