As first reported by The Gainesville Sun and Ocala.com Adrenaline Mob were involved in a fatal accident on I-75 in Micanopy, FL. The band was headed for a show in St. Pete, FL . The Gainesville Sun reports that one person was killed and six people were injured near Micanopy, FL on today (July 14th). It happened this afternoon when a tractor-trailer veered off of I-75 and struck the band’s RV, which had pulled off the highway with to deal with a flat tire. At the scene, a sound man for the band, Adrenaline Mob, said that the metal group was traveling inside of the RV and that a van that was pulling a covered trailer of their gear/merch.
A total of nine people were in the vehicles. One died, six were taken to local area hospitals, and the other two declined medical treatment – Of the six injured, three were listed in critical condition and the other three in stable condition as of Friday evening (6PM EST). They were taken to UF Health Shands Hospital and North Florida Regional Medical Center. As of 6 p.m. EST Friday the patrol had not identified the deceased or the injured. They said only that the deceased is a man and had been in the RV. He was pronounced dead at 12:42 p.m. The injured include band members.
