MTV has recognized pop superstar P!NK at this year’s 2017 Video Music Awards by presenting her with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. The award pays tribute to her 17-year long career as a performer and her trailblazing impact on music, pop culture, fashion and philanthropy. P!NK recently released the debut single “What About Us” off her forthcoming seventh studio album, Beautiful Trauma. Beautiful Trauma will be released via RCA Records on Friday, October 13th, 2017. In addition to receiving MTV’s highest honor of the evening, Pink, is performing her new single “What About Us.” Previous winners of this award include Madonna, Peter Gabriel, Guns N’ Roses, Beastie Boys, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Kanye West, and 2016’s Video Vanguard was Rihanna.
