10 Rapidly Rising Country Artists You Need To Listen To (Ty March, Cheyenne Goss, Ryan Robinette, Carter Winter, + More)

There are so many talented artists in the music industry, some who are super talent but do not get the recognition they deserve. We wanted to spotlight 10 country artists who are rapidly rising in the country music genre and deserve to be respected with a spotlight on their careers that they worked so hard towards and continue to do so. These 10 artists are just 10 of the hundreds if not thousands of artists out there who are not yet massive but you should add to your Apple Music accounts and Spotify playlists. The artists are not in any particular order below. We hope you agree, and let us know your thoughts on these artists.

Ty March is from Carlile, PA, who moved to Nashville, TN to pursue his career in the country as a country singer. March, a former drummer with a popular metal band, Capture The Crown paved his own way into country music while making lots of friends who are also rising country artists. March fell in love with country music at a very young age, thanks to George Jones and Garth Brooks. March’s debut single into country music was “It’s Finally Friday,” which was released back in 2015. This single launched his country music career, as the single was rapidly picked up by several media outlets worldwide. March has picked up quite some success since the release of his debut country single boasting at over 100k followers on Instagram, 30k+ monthly Spotify streams, and 57k+ followers on Twitter. Since the release of his debut single, March has released several other singles including: “Fishin’ Boat Lovin’,” “Summertime,” “Lover’s Tonight,” “Mr. Right Now,” “What I’d Say To You,” and more recently “Too Far Gone.” March as also written a single that boasts at over 2 million views on YouTube for country artist Ryan Robinette called “For Awhile.” Check out his latest music video for his single “What I’d Say to You” which we hope will soon be streamed on the radio stations worldwide, as March is well deserving of this with his very unique country vocals. Ryan Robinette is a Senecaville, Ohio born and raised country/pop singer, songwriter and recording artist, who now resides in Nashville, TN to fulfill his dreams of become a country star. Robinette boasting at 121k+ Monthly Streams on Spotify now, with 91k followers on Instagram, and 50k on Twitter. Gaining momentum rapidly on social media, and growing an audience quickly with live shows, Ryan released his debut album, Progression in August 2016 where it found it’s self inside the Top 10 Country Charts on iTunes, and Top 100 for several days, while barely missing the Top 50 on Billboards Country Albums Chart. Robinette’s first single “For Awhile” was hand picked by John Marks (Global Head of Country at Spotify) to be featured on their New Boots playlist where it stayed for several months being streamed close to 2 million times on Spotify alone. Robinette has also gotten the opportunity to play songwriters fests and share stages by himself and with his band along side of artists/writers alike, including acts such  as Jake Owen, Chris Lane, Brett Eldredge, Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion, LoCash, Russell Dickerson, and many of others. Cheyenne Goss is a natural born storyteller, whose gift has brought her from the cornfields of Southern Illinois (Born in Newton, Illinois) to the Country music hub of the world, Nashville, TN. Goss following in her families music footsteps, with a DJ for a dad, it surrounded Goss with karaoke nights, and wedding receptions. You could often find her with a microphone at the center of the festivities he was working singing her heart out. Trailblazing into the music industry, while following the lead of her biggest musical influences such as Reba, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert, all of who do not shy away from vulnerability; pairing that with her flawlessly stunning vocals, and her songwriting which captivates country, R&B, and pop fans alike. Goss is guaranteed for success in country music with her talents. Goss’ debut single “Done” debuted on the tops of presale charts and already has just about 100,000 streams on Spotify since it’s release. Her debut EP, It Is Written soon to be released in October on Friday the 13th, 2017. It Is Written is a 6-song anthology that weaves a story of Goss overcoming countless obstacles that the singer faced to turn this project into a thriving reality. Goss is already endorsed by guitar giant, Takamine and mentored by country superstar, Reba McEntire via MasterClass. Tyler Rich is a country singer/songwriter from a small Northern California farming community called Yuba City, and is now based in Nashville, TN. Rich found his love for country music after his cousin took him to see George Strait at the young age of 8 years old. Then his love for country grew quickly from listening to George Strait, to Garth Brooks, to Alan Jackson, Rich then immersed himself into the music. A few months before his 14th birthday, his Grandparents surprised him with a new guitar for Christmas, and he hasn’t stopped playing since. Spending numerous amounts of time perfecting his craft as a musician, touring across the country, he decided it was time to pursue his solo career as a country artist. Rich has performed along side some of the industries greatest artists including Cole Swindell, Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Dan+Shay, Canaan Smith, Maddie & Tae, and many more. Rich’s first single “Radio” smashed iTunes charts in May of 2015 during it’s release and has already begun receiving rotations on multiple radio stations across the U.S. including on iHeartRadio.

Adam Sanders is a Lake City, FL native, who moved to Nashville, TN in 2009 after spending many of summers with his dad in the music city of Nashville in the studio with his uncle Scotty Sanders. Sanders then fell in love with music at a very young age, after spending hours on end with his uncle Scotty and seeing the process of creating music and the business end of things, which is what led him to writing songs about the things in life he knew about. Sanders ended up writing hits songs including Luke Bryan’s “Out Like That,” Cole Swindell’s “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey” & “Dozen Roses and A Six Pack,” Dierks Bentley’s “Sounds of Summer,” Dustin Lynch’s “Hell of a Night” (which we had the pleasure of seeing him perform with Lynch in Nashville during CMA Fest at Lynch’s Stay Country Show) and Chase Rice’s “Country In Ya.” Sanders has since toured the globe with artists like Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Thomas Rhett, Randy Houser, Dustin Lynch, Easton Corbin, The Cadillac Three, Gary Allan, Eric Paslay, Cole Swindell and many more. Sanders single “Thunder” was released in Nov. 2015 and has over 11 million streams online just giving you a taste of what is to come from Sanders, his latest hit “I’ve Been Meaning To Call” can be heard/seen below and is guaranteed to be dominating charts and radio rotations in the near future.

Abi Ann is a Midland, TX native who balances her Belmont University schooling in Nashville studying Business Entrepreneurship, as well as her touring, songwriting and appearances very well and successfully. Abi has toured with Pentatonix, Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney, and several others already during her music career. Abi has an extreme passion for charity and is an anti-bully activist, who has headlined several anti-bully rallies across the United States, even showing her love for the air force by headlining the Commemorative Air Force air show back in 2013. Abi’s debut EP 17 jumpstarted her career into success on the road with several large artists as mentioned previously, the EP was released in the first quarter of 2015 and was heard on some radio stations throughout the U.S. Her latest single “Matches” has been flooding the internet and is a 100% jam, that you need to listen to at some point after reading this. Jackie Lee is a Maryville, TN native and signed to Broken Bow Records in 2014, when he released his debut single, “She Does“, in September of 2014. The song was written by Kelley Lovelace and Neil Thrasher and was originally put on hold to be cut by Kenny Chesney, however Lee scored this single. The single was called “a country love song that stands out from so many others on the radio” by Taste Of Country and they even said that “Lee is a pure country vocalist who will attract both fans of traditional country and fans of a slicker sound” when the single was released. Lee also made his Grand Ole Opry debut back in September 2014. Lee’s second single, “Headphones“, was released to country radio on May 11, 2015. Lee released his third single, “Leave the Light On“, through Spotify on July 8, 2016. His current single, “Getting Over You“, was released to country radio back in 2016. Lee then parting ways with Broken Bow in July 2017 just briefly after his extraordinary set at CMA Fest in Nashville, TN in June. This split will not stop Lee’s progression with his career and is guaranteed to only promise him even more success as an independent artist in the country music world. Ryan Follese is the frontman of Hot Chelle Rae but is also pursuing what has already become a successful solo country career. Follese, Born in Nashville, TN in 1987 to his highly successful songwriter parents Keith Follese who is a songwriting for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill (and more) and Adrienne Follese who writes music for Martina McBride and Lady Antebellum and more, Follese was destined for success as he grew up surrounded by country music and hit writing machines. Follese signed with Big Machine in June of 2016 after taking a break from Hot Chelle Rae’s success with “Tonight Tonight” to conquer his country music roots. Releasing his debut single to Country music in June of 2016 with “Float Your Boat” which is a very catchy jam. His official first single being “Put A Label On It” which has an incredible amount of success being played throughout the U.S. on radio stations everywhere as well as it’s 1.2 million and counting Spotify streams. Follese spent the entire 2017 year floating on multiple tours, including Live Nation’s Ones to Watch Tour with LoCash, Florida Georgia Line’s Dig Your Roots Tour and the entirety of Sam Hunt’s 15 in a 30 tour. Carter Winter is a recent signee to Jay-Z’s record label, RocNation and we recently had the opportunity to catch his set at 2017’s Budweiser Made In America Festival in Philadelphia and had our breath taking away. He’s set was powerful, fierce, and full of incredible vocal talent as well as a rockin’ band behind him.  Winter, first well-known for his cover songs of artists that inspired him early on in his career such as Garth Brooks and George Strait. Moving beyond the covers and into his own country music career, with his first independent six-song release of Some Kind Of Fire which featured the catchy home state anthem “Ohio” and now being signed to RocNation releasing his first full length studio album, The Whiskey In Me. His first full length record The Whiskey In Me was produced by Grammy-Award winning producer Chad Carlson who has worked with the likes of Taylor Swift, Cole Swindell, and Chase Rice. Also, Producer Mark Bright who has worked with the likes of Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts. Winter has gained some incredible recognition from some of country’s biggest names and has shared the stage with some of those artists as well such as Sam Hunt, Chase Rice and Travis Tritt. Winter has an impressive social media following of fans that have organically connected with his heartfelt music and relatable lyrics in each of his songs. Kalie Shorr is an independent artist from Portland, Maine who made the move to Nashville in 2013 to pursue her career as a country artist. Shorr is best known for her Youtube popularity, which boasts at over one million and counting views with 12.2k subscribers. On this YouTube channel you can see lots of cover songs by Shorr including one of Taylor Swift’s latest singles “Look What You Made Me Do,” as well as many original songs written and sung by Shorr herself. Shorr’s debut single “Fight Like a Girl” began to receive national attention and radio airplay on the SiriusXM radio station The Highway when it was released in 2016. Shorr’s talent shines so vibrantly online that even Perez Hilton has noticed her talents and invited her to come out to his birthday party in March of 2012, in which she was technically opening for The Backstreet Boys and Far East Movement. Shorr released a five-song EP, Slingshot, in March 2017 and told Sounds Like Nashville that the project combined pop and country sounds to reflect, “a huge part of my sound and how I identify myself.” Shorr released “Nothin’ New” as a single in March of 2017 and it has since been flooding throughout the internet. Shorr has played shows across the country, from Los Angeles to Nashville to Boston including Nashville’s famed CMA Fest this past June (2017).
