A Day To Remember‘s Self Help Festival returned to Philadelphia’s Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing for the second time, the first time being back in October of 2014. Self Help Festival in Philadelphia was the first date in a string of four Self Help Festival dates spanning across the U.S. Including dates in Orlando, FL, Detroit, MI, and San Bernardino, CA. The entire day was jam packed with energetic live performances from all the bands on the bill including Underoath, Falling In Reverse, Moose Blood, Silverstein, Real Friends, Stray From The Path, Wage War, Angel Du$t, Can’t Swim, The Plot In You, Bad Omens, and Microwave. The two stages allowed for all fans to see all of the bands as no performances overlapped and you can run back and forth to check out all of the bands which is what separates this festival from other rock festivals that have multiple stages going at once, which forces you to miss some performances and miss discovering new artists.
A Day To Remember exploding onto the stage at about 9:05pm showering the nearly sold out crowd in colorful confetti and streamers, while bursting into a fan favorite single “All I Want” off of their fourth studio album, What Separates Me From You. ADTR’s set consisted of lots of fan interactions with each member interacting directly with the fans, a flawless light show/production, a very high energy throughout the entire night, and very powerful performance. Their setlist containing a variety of songs from their entire discography including songs from their latest album Bad Vibrations, their 2013 release of Common Courtesy, and of course songs from What Separates Me From You, Homesick, and For Those Who Have Heart. ADTR never disappoints with their lives shows that leave you craving more.
Make sure you get out to one of the other Self Help Festival dates in Orlando, FL, Detroit, MI, or San Bernardino, CA. If you cannot make it to one of those make sure to catch ADTR out on tour with Wage War supporting coming to a city near you soon. Tour Dates: www.ADTR.com
