Marilyn Manson was performing in New York City at Hammerstein Ballroom when he began to climb on his double pistol gun prop as it then fell onto Manson where It then appeared he was crushed by the falling prop which as sources say “weighed hundreds of pounds.” The 48-year-old rocker was in the middle of singing his cover of “Sweet Dreams” by The Eurythmics when the incident happened.
Several people in his band/crew are then seen rushing on to the stage to help Manson but it took a number of minutes before Manson was stretchered off stage and sources say he was “taken in an ambulance on a stretcher to local hospital.” The remainder of the show was canceled. We will keep you updated as this story develops.
We send our prayers and well wishes to Manson and hope he is okay! This the second injury Manson encountered on this tour run and it’s only been two tour dates so far, the first injury being a broke ankle just yesterday in Pittsburgh, when Manson was performing “The Beautiful People” nearing the end of his set he fell on stage but crawled his way back up and finished the remainder of his set.
UPDATE: Variety spoke to the singer’s rep who said: “Manson suffered an injury towards the end of an incredible NYC show. He is being treated at a local hospital.” A source close to the situation also told Variety shortly after the incident that Manson “should be fine,” but that was not an official comment.
