Thomas Rhett stopped into Philadelphia for the second stop of his three-city album release party, a completely sold out “Live! From The B-Stage” mini-tour to celebrate the release of his highly anticipated third studio album, Life Changes. The three cities Rhett celebrated his album release in were carefully chosen by Rhett as he told us that, “These three cities, we picked because these are the three cities that kind of gave my career a jumpstart, performing in the small clubs, and the radio stations in these cities have been so supportive of my music.”
Launching his hour long performance in Philadelphia with the first single “Craving You” released off this record which is an 80’s inspired track which features Maren Morris, unfortunately Morris could not be present to perform this single with him but it did not stop Rhett from giving his all and making fans jam along to this smash hit single. This album release celebration was definitley a unique way to connect with his fans and tell them in depth stories behind each song, even allowing fans to ask questions directly to him about the record, the new songs, and more. One girl even asking if he would be able to attend her wedding, in which he replied “If it is on a Wednesday in Nashville I could possibly be there if I am not on the road.”
Rhett came with the intention to perform a collection of his new music from the new album, but without a setlist, allowing fans to give their input on the setlist, performing his hits like “Die A Happy Man,” “Crash and Burn,” and “T-Shirt” but also including his new songs like “Sixteen,” and “Marry Me.” Brett Eldredge then surprising Rhett on stage, leaving Rhett in shock as Eldredge perform his latest single “Love Someone” serenading Rhett and his fans. In which you could truly tell Rhett was stunned that he actually showed up to celebrate his album release with him, even giving him a shoutout on his social media stories. Rhett then joked “and heres Luke Bryan, nah I am just kidding,” before doing a flawless impersonation of his dance moves, even perfecting the hat style used by Bryan on stage driving the crowd crazy.
Rhett then took the Philadelphia sold out crowd by storm ending his hour long album release celebration with a performance of his latest radio single, “Unforgettable,” which tells the story of a love at first sight meeting. Rhett then blending in Bruno Mars hit single “That’s What I Like” with an incredible rendition of the song. The massive sold out crowd loved every moment of his performance. The ever-gracious Rhett even signing a few fans autographs, bringing a fan up on stage to take a photo with her as she won a signed guitar by him from the photo booth contest he had set up for these shows.
