Marilyn Manson Reveals Stage Prop Accident Resulted in Broken Leg saying, “The pain was excruciating” & Reschedules U.S. Tour Dates

Marilyn Manson has spoken to Yahoo in his first interview since his on-stage accident where his double gun iron stage prop fell onto him during his set in New York City at Hammerstein Ballroom. The incident happened while Manson was performing his cover of “Sweet Dreams” when he appeared he was going to climb the stage prop, however he revealed that “I wasn’t trying to climb it.” continuing by telling Yahoo that, “It started to fall and I tried to push back and I didn’t get out the way in time. I’m not sure what I hit my head on, but it did fall onto my leg and break the fibula in two places. The pain was excruciating.” Manson told Yahoo that the Iron two gun stage prop broke his leg in two places in which doctors now have inserted a plate into Manson’s leg and placed 10 screws into his fibula, plus one into his ankle.

He also said that he does “have some minor bruising in that area, but it took six guys to pull it off of me. It was like wrestling a giant iron monster” Continuing by saying, “I only recently watched the video of it,” Manson says 11 days after the on-stage accident, on a couch in his living room with his leg up in a cast. “I can now see how it could look terrifying. It was terrifying for me, because the truss was not secured properly.

The thing that pisses me off most is that I’m not onstage, because that’s where I should be,” However as a result of his on-stage injury Manson had to postpone/reschedule all 2017 tour dates till 2018. Fans can obtain refunds at their point of purchase for tickets purchased to see Manson this October. Manson will however make his return to the stage at Ozzfest Meets Knotfest on Nov. 5th, 2017!
