ZZ Top Cancel Remaining 2017 Tour Dates Due To Illness

(TRR) – Iconic rock trio ZZ Top have cancelled all remaining dates of their 2017 Tonnage Tour due to illness. Bassist Dusty Hill will be taking time off to deal with a “stomach ailment” and cannot continue touring at this time. All canceled dates are currently being discussed for immediate rescheduling. ZZ Top plan to tour in 2018 followed buy a major “once-in-a-millenium” 50th anniversary celebration in 2019.

(TRR) – On September 9, ZZ Top released a new compilation album Tonight at Midnight: Live Greatest Hits From Around The World via Suretone Records. Their last studio effort – 2012’s La Futura – peaked at #6 on the Billboard Top 200. ZZ Top have been rocking strong for nearly 50 years together. The band formed in Houston, TX in 1969 and released their debut album in 1971. With 13 multi-platinum albums, and 1 diamond album, ZZ Top have sold over 25 million albums sold in the U.S. alone. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
