A title has finally been revealed for the upcoming season of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story. The title and key art was revealed during the AHS San Diego Comic-con panel.
The title for season 8 will be American Horror Story: Apocalypse. The season will be a Murder House (season one) and Coven (season 3) crossover. The season will take place sometime in the future – possibly 18 months from [April 6th, 2018], making it October 2019, where it could deal with a nuclear fallout of some kind.
Even Peters hinted that the tone of the upcoming season would of course be scary but also “funny and fun.”
Former AHS cast members Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, and Leslie Grossman will return with newcomers Joan Collins (The Royals), Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (UnReal) and Kyle Allen (The Path).
As mentioned before, key art for the upcoming season was also revealed during the panel and it looks pretty freaky as usual. (Image via Twitter)

The baby in the image above references the birth of the antichrist from season one and the hand could be that of the devil himself.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse will premiere September 12 on FX at 10/9c.
