Universal has released the first batch of images from ‘Glass‘, writer/director M. Night Shyamalan’s follow up to both 2017’s ‘Split‘ and 2000’s ‘Unbreakable‘. Bringing together Samuel L. Jackson’s Mr. Glass, Bruce Willis‘s David Dunn, and James McAvoy‘s Kevin Wendell Crumb (a.k.a. “The Beast”) from the aforementioned films, the images showcase all three characters in the same room together–presumably under some precarious circumstances. Although we saw the first tease of ‘Glass‘ with the film’s first poster a few days ago, these new images (via EW) do a great job of elaborating on the color palette displayed in that image.
Even though our first good look at Jackson in full Mr. Glass regailia is certainly majestic, it’s the image with all three characters that is just amazing. I love the use of color, but it’s Sarah Paulson’s psychiatrist character that might hold the key to why those characters might be in the same room together:
The film supposedly follows Dunn as he pursues The Beast in a “series of escalating encounters”, before Price reveals himself as the connection between both men. Make sure to check back next week as the panel for ‘Glass‘ is sure to unveil the first trailer for the film at next week’s San Diego Comic-Con 2018! In the meantime you can find the first official images, along with the official synopsis for ‘Glass’ below:
“From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.
Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.
This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters will be produced by Shyamalan and Jason Blum, who also produced the writer/director’s previous two films for Universal. They produce again with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider, who will executive produce.”
