New Poster for ‘The Predator’ Is Made Of Skulls (SDCC 2018)

20th Century Fox has released a new poster for ‘The Predator‘ that is made of skulls–literally. Although it is decidedly badass, this SDCC 2018 exclusive poster does a great job of selling the upcoming sequel. In case you haven’t seen either of the trailers, ‘The Predator‘ follows Jacob Tremblay’s character as he accidentally triggers a return to earth from the universe’s most lethal hunters. As a result, it’s naturally up to a group of ragtag mercenaries to save the day.

What I love most about this new poster for the film is how it foreshadows that no one in this film is safe, even the predator itself. It’s a much more impactful than the first poster that we saw for the film and it’s a shame that this image probably won’t be used further to promote the film. The Message immediately becomes clear when you see this poster: ‘The Predator‘ isn’t messing around.

Directed by Shane Black, ‘The Predator‘ was written by Black and Fred Dekker. In addition to Tremblay, the film stars an ensemble cast that includes Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski. ‘The Predator opens September 14th 2018, but in the meantime you can find the new poster, along with the film’s official synopsis below:

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
