After many awesome teasers, the Sons of Anarchy spinoff from Kurt Sutter, Mayans M.C. finally has an official trailer. The upcoming FX series will center the foes turned SOA compadres the Mayan motorcycle club in a post Jax Teller world. Prospect EZ Reyes (JD Pardo) must carve out a new identity and prove himself in a town where he almost had it all.
The trailer teases the early life of EZ Reyes as it weaves in and out of flashbacks while showing what issues the Mayan prospect has to face in order to make a name for himself in the M.C. brotherhood. A soundtrack is provided with a Spanish rendition of The Rolling Stones’ “Paint it, Black’ which has also been the soundtrack for most of the teasers up to this point. We also get a closer look at Edward James Olmos who plays EZ’s father, Felipe Reyes.
Mayans M.C. will premiere on FX September 4 and stars JD Pardo, Clayton Cardenas, Edward James Olmos, Sarah Bolger, Michael Irby, Carla Baratta, Antonia Jaramillo, Raoul Max Trujillo, Richard Cabral, Danny Pino and Emilio Rivera.
If you are one of the thousands headed out to San Diego Comic-con this week, there will also be a Mayans M.C. panel Sunday July 22 beginning at 1pm. The panel will feature creator Kurt Sutter and some of the cast from the upcoming series.
