(PCM) FOX has put in an order for a new reality competition series titled “The Masked Singer”, which is set to premiere in January of 2019. The series will be based upon the popular South Korean format of a similar series and will be hosted by Nick Cannon.
The series will feature a slew of celebrity judges including Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. FOX revealed the news about the series at their recent TCA press event and explained the series as, “a viral phenomenon with more than half a billion fans worldwide and the No. 1 top-trending video of 2017 on YouTube, The Masked Singer features celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: each singer is shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, complete with full face mask to conceal his or her identity.”
