A few months ago it was revealed that “Fantastic Beasts 3” was postponed for a bit and was not going to be released in 2020, as fans had initially anticipated, as the first two films were released two years apart.
Warner Bros. is placing most of their efforts into the release of “Dune” in 2020 and plans to push the release date for “Fantastic Beasts 3” until November 2021, which is a full year later than expected. Many were holding out hope for the film to only be pushed back a short while until spring of 2021, but now is definitely looking like a fall release.
The reason for the delay was due to pre-production and script work which took a bit longer than expected to complete. David Yates will still helm the production of the third film and it was written by J.K. Rowling. The Potterheads will have to hold out for just a little while longer, however, we are sure they would definitely prefer a stronger film rather than one that was rushed to be put together.
At least we know that we will be seeing Newt Scamander gracing our screens once again, just not quite as quickly as we would like!
