HBO Has revealed a new teaser trailer for the small screen adaptation of His Dark Materials! Ever since the end of Game Of Thrones, HBO has been rolling out a ton of new promo material for their upcoming series. Thus, it has given us a promising look at what is to come for the future of the network.
We got our first look at season two for Big Little Lies, the teen drama Euphoria, in addition to Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen series. Now, we’ve learned that HBO is working on an adaptation of His Dark Materials, based upon the novels by author Philip Pullman. HBO also revealed they will be collaborating with BBC for this project. The first season of the new series will feature eight episodes and adapt the first novel in the trilogy, The Golden Compass. The BBC and HBO have already agreed to make a second season depending on the success of the series, which suggests they’re in it for the long haul. The casting includes Dafne Keen, James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The networks haven’t yet revealed a release date, but we expect to hear more news soon.
