Everyone has been buzzing about the possibility (and hope) for a sequel to director Edgar Wright’s amazing film “Baby Driver”. The film, which was released back in 2017, starring Ansel Elgort immediately sucked in audiences all over the world and even earned three Academy Award nominations.
It now appears that our wishes may soon be coming true, as Elgort recently mentioned to MTV News that he is incredibly excited to play Baby again! He revealed, “Edgar has shown me the script. I think it’s going to happen. I think there will be Baby Driver 2. It has a different title actually. You’re gonna have to ask Edgar that, though.”

Then just the other day on Twitter, Edgar Wright was asked if there was any “Baby Driver” sequel news he could talk about to which he replied, “We hope to make it real soon if the planets align …”

Both Edgar Wright and Ansel Elgort are quite the busy men as of lately, so we are hoping once things calm down a bit there can be some more focus on the “Baby Driver” sequel as, Edgar Wright is working on his next film, “Last Night in Soho”, while Ansel Elgort is filming the cult “West Side Story”, in which he’ll play Tony.
Let’s hope for some sort of official announcement coming soon!
