| National Farmers Day Old Farmer’s Day is now actually known as National Farmers Day. Though this day’s exact date and history are unknown, it is known that the holiday was originally celebrated in the 1800s. This day is a day to remember and honor the hard work done by farmers throughout our country and our country’s history. We see our food, mostly in the stores packaged and ready to cook and eat, and not many of us know the hard work that goes into raising fruit, vegetables, and livestock. This is a day to remember our farmers’ tremendous work. |

The First Columbus Day Despite the negative publicity Christopher Columbusgets today, it was on October 28th, 1492, that Christopher Columbus Discovered Cuba. Columbus had tried for years to get a European country to finance his expedition to find a trade route to the west to get to India faster, he didn’t know Cuba and The Americas would get in his way. Queen Isabella of Spain agreed to finance Columbus, and so when He finally landed on Cuba, it was claimed for Spain. |
