WWE’s ‘Elimination Chamber’ 2023 Recap

Last night in Montreal, Sami Zayn almost gave his hometown Montreal fans the victory they desperately wanted. But he was defeated by  Roman Reigns in the main event of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. The match went a good thirty minutes with many near pins. A couple of ref’s were knocked out which only built the match up more.

Jimmy Uso interfered on behalf of Reigns, and  Zayn fell short. Kevin Owens made the save on Sami’s part and beat down the head of the table. It looks as if the Bloodline storyline will continue at least for a couple more months.

Also on the card was the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match – Asuka vs. Carmella vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Nikki Cross vs. Natalya vs. Liv Morgan: Asuka: got the pin and will face Bianca Belair at WrestleMania. Solid match with lots of bumps.

Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley: The winner was BOBBY LASHLEY after a low blow by Lesnar. The match was fast and could have gone longer. I don’t know what the future holds for these two, but something has to give.

Edge & Beth Phoenix vs. Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley: The winners were Edge & Beth Phoenix by pin fall. This was a great back and forth match. And I would not be surprised if we do not see a tag match between these four again.

Men’s Elimination Chamber Match for the United States Championship — Austin Theory (c) vs. Montez Ford vs. Bronson Reed vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins: The winner was  Austin Theory.  Solid match that saw a run in by Logan Paul to run in, hit Rollins with a Buckshot Lariat and a stomp before Theory to hit A-Town Down to retain his title. They are really building toward a Rollins Vs. Paul match at WrestleMania.

The last pay-per-view going into WWE’S biggest show of the year WrestleMania was a solid hit. The seventeen thousand fans in Montreal only added to the excitement. Its a great year to be a wrestling fan.
