Nita Strauss is back in Alice Cooper’s band. The guitar virtuoso took a leave of absence to tour with Demi Lovato in support of her new rock album. Now, Cooper and company have welcomed her back with open arms for their jam-packed 2023 tour schedule.

“She’s back,” Alice Cooper stated. “Nita asked for a leave of absence to work with someone else, something I always encourage my band members to do. I like them to challenge themselves and try new things. I’m thankful to my old friend Kane Roberts for stepping up and filling in for her, but she’ll be back with us for the new tour that starts up in late April. It’s going to be great to have her back.

Strauss adds, “From the studio to the stage, it’s always an immense honor to make music with Alice Cooper!! I’m very excited to be rejoining the band on the road for the 2023 dates, and so I’ll see you on the road in April. Let the nightmare return!”

Strauss left Alice Cooper’s band last summer. On July 14, 2022, she joined pop sensation Demi Lovato for a performance of their new single “Substance” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Then, she officially joined Lovato’s band and went on tour supporting their new rock album HOLY FVCK.

She reunited Cooper and her former bandmates on October 5 for a rendition of “School’s Out” at the Budweiser Events Center in Colorado.

“Such a treat getting to not only see the amazing Alice Cooper show from the audience for the first time, but hop up and join the boys for the encore last night,” she wrote on Instagram after the show. “They all absolutely crushed it and I was beaming the whole time singing along to every song.”
