After nearly three decades together, Sum 41 are calling it quits. The band announced their disbandment on social media Monday. They confirmed they will still be finishing all of their previously scheduled tour dates.
“Sum 41 will be disbanding,” the group said in a a statement.
The summer, Sum 41 will join The Offspring and Simple Plan for a month-long U.S. run.
Sum 41 formed in 1996 in Ajax, Ontario. They exploded into the mainstream with their wildly successful debut LP All Killer, No Filler. The record featured the hit singles “Fat Lip” and “In Too Deep,” which remain watershed pop-punk anthems. Their last album was 2019’s Order in Decline.
