Jump into the deep end with James Wan and Jason Blum for an a look inside the production for “Night Swim” set to hit theater on January 5, 2024.
Absolutely no running, diving, or swimming after dark, as there is no lifeguard on duty.
Atomic Monster and Blumhouse, the minds behind M3GAN, delve deep into the horror genre with their latest supernatural thriller, Night Swim.
Adapted from the well-received 2014 short film by Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire, the movie features Wyatt Russell (known for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) as Ray Waller. Ray, a former major league baseball player compelled into early retirement by a degenerative illness, relocates to a new home with his concerned wife Eve (Oscar® nominee Kerry Condon, The Banshees of Inisherin), teenage daughter Izzy (Amélie Hoeferle, from this fall’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes), and young son Elliot (Gavin Warren, Fear the Walking Dead).
Holding on to a secret hope of returning to professional baseball, Ray convinces Eve that the new residence’s sparkling backyard swimming pool will be enjoyable for the kids and offer him physical therapy. However, an ominous secret from the home’s past unleashes a malevolent force, pulling the family into the depths of unavoidable terror.
Night Swim is both written and directed by Bryce McGuire, the writer of the upcoming film Baghead. The film is produced by James Wan, renowned for the Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring franchises, and Jason Blum, the producer of Halloween, The Black Phone, and The Invisible Man. Executive producers include Michael Clear and Judson Scott for Wan’s Atomic Monster and Ryan Turek for Blum’s Blumhouse.
