The single “Legendary” is from the band’s forthcoming new album
Bon Jovi fans, rejoice, for new music is on the way.
In October of 2020, Bon Jovi released their politically-conscious LP, simply titled – 2020. Originally slated for release in May, the record ended up being pushed back to October because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart.
“I don’t think anyone will forget what their lives were like between March and September of 2020,” Bon Jovi told Rolling Stone of their new album at the time. “I think this is the Spanish Flu all over again. But none of us, you and I or our parents, were alive 100 years ago. So this is that moment for us. This song won’t be about shoulder pads and having a hairstyle. This will mark a moment in time.”
The album followed up their 2016 smash hit, This House Is Not for Sale. The record hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart.
According to recent social media posts, Bon Jovi are reportedly set to release a brand new song called “Legendary” in March. Nicole Purcell, the CEO of the Clio Awards, shared photos via Instagram on Tuesday [January 30] featuring herself and Bon Jovi members Tico Torres (drums), David Bryan (keyboards), and Jon Bon Jovi (vocals).
“As a Jersey girl through and through, I’ve been a diehard Bon Jovi fan my entire life,” Purcell wrote. “Today was an absolute dream come true! I was thrilled to get a preview of their [Bon Jovi] new single Legendary – coming out in March. Can’t wait to add this to my Spotify playlist!”
GRAMMY® Award-winning music supervisor (A Star Is Born, Trolls, Pitch Perfect 2) and co-founder of Format Entertainment, Julianne Jordan, also shared a photo on Instagram of herself and Jon Bon Jovi.
“Great afternoon listening to the new Bon Jovi album coming in March,” Jordan wrote. “What a treat!”
