The festival returns to the Ohio State Reformatory in July
This summer, Inkcarceration Festival returns to the Ohio State Reformatory. The 2024 lineup includes headliners Breaking Benjamin, Godsmack and Shinedown. Other featured acts include The Offspring, Bad Omens, Halestorm, Chevelle, Parkway Drive, I Prevail, and more. See the full lineup below.
In March, Breaking Benjamin and Daughtry are mounting a tour across the United States. The hard rock mainstays will hit the road starting March 21 at the Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and the trek will run through April 24, wrapping up at the Black Oak Mountain Amphitheater in Lampe, Missouri. Very special guests for the run will be Catch Your Breath.
The band recently wrapped up an intimate acoustic tour. The exclusive run of shows began on January 12 at The Norva in Norfolk, Virginia and wraps up on January 27 at the Beau Rivage Theatre in Biloxi, Mississippi. The trek saw the band performing special unplugged shows, with an opening solo set from guitarist Keith Wallen.
Breaking Benjamin released their last studio effort Ember back in 2018. The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and landed at No. 1 on Top Alternative, Hard Rock, Rock, and Digital Albums charts. In 2020, they releases the compilation album, Aurora, which featured one new track, “Far Away.”
Godsmack are also set to launch an acoustic run soon. The Vibes Tour kicks off on February 15 at Hard Rock Live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and wraps up on May 5 in at The Theater at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Very special guest for all shows will be Danish singer-songwriter Bastian da Cruz.
In addition to their acoustic tour dates, Godsmack will be performing a full electric set when the headline Arizona Bike Week on April 6, 2024 in Scottsdale.
In 2004, Godsmack released an acoustic EP, The Other Side (Universal/Republic). It was produced by Dave Bottrill (Tool, Muse, Stone Sour), who previously worked with the band on their 2003 hit record, Faceless. The album featured acoustic renditions of previously released songs, as well as three new tracks – “Running Blind,” “Touché,” and “Voices.” The gold-certified EP peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, with “Running Blind” and “Touché” each scoring the band a Top 10 Mainstream Rock hit. Former Godsmack guitarist Lee Richards performs on “Touché.”
Godsmack are currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of their seminal self-titled debut album. their seminal debut album the vinyl treatment for its 25th anniversary. The band is reissuing the multi-platinum record on a special limited edition 2-LP orange vinyl, which comes with an exclusive 12″x12″ lithograph. Additionally, a standard black vinyl version is available. The band has also curated a special merchandise line surrounding the album, which includes a t-shirt, hoodie, tote bag, and exclusive foil poster.
Godsmack released their eighth studio album Lighting Up the Sky on February 24 via BMG. The record hit No. 19 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart. It is be available on CD, standard black vinyl, and limited edition blue vinyl. Fans can also purchase the album digitally.
Shinedown’s acclaimed seventh studio album Planet Zero, produced by the band’s bassist Eric Bass, arrived last July. The album debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Chart and the Official UK Albums Chart, and at #1 on six other Billboard charts including Top Album Sales, Rock, Hard Rock, and Alternative Albums Charts. The band as been touring hard in support of the record, with live shows that feature the biggest production of their career.
