Ahead of their triple-bill tour that launches on April 2, Puscifer, A Perfect Circle and Primus have announced the Sessanta E.P.P.P. Due out on March 29 through Puscifer Entertainment, the three-song release will feature one new song from each of the bands, with all three tracks co-written by A Perfect Circle and Puscifer’s Maynard James Keenan.

Check out the cover art and tracklisting below.

The EP, which will be performed live on the upcoming dates, is available digitally and on vinyl, with pre-orders available now. The webstore exclusive vinyl variant is on glow-in-the-dark vinyl with red and yellow swirls with the b-side featuring an etching of the Sessanta mascot, Cerbero. The signed, tour-exclusive variant is limited to 75 copies per night and features the three tracks on the a-side along with instrumental versions of the trio of songs on the b-side. A different color variant will be exclusive to each show and showcased daily on the bands’ socials.

On the upcoming Sessanta Tour, all three storied acts will be performing together, on stage at the same time, during the exclusive run of shows. The event will also see each group perform their own distinctive sets, but the players will continually transform as the night unfolds.

“Although I am slowly going deaf with all the rock song touring, and the aging and what not, the thunderous cacophony of whining and crying from the places we aren’t playing Sessanta was heard loud and clear,” A Perfect Circle’s Maynard James Keenan states. “But instead of being a grumpy old fart and calling you all a Waahhhmnulance, we decided to book a few more shows.”

The shows are in celebration of A Perfect Circle and Puscifer singer Maynard James Keenan’s 60th birthday. Artists Zoltron and Zombie Yeti designed the poster art for the tour. Prints will most likely be available at the merchandise booths. Check out the design below.

Notably, the tour will mark A Perfect Circle’s first live performances since 2018.

“It took some massaging, and some long days in rehearsal, but we managed to seamlessly pull off this three-song rotation at Cinquanta, my 50th birthday shows, at The Greek Theatre in 2014,” says Keenan of the seven-date run. “Bands aren’t used to simultaneously sharing the stage with other bands, but if anyone can do it, it’s Primus, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer.”

A Perfect Circle released their acclaimed fourth album Eat the Elephant in 2018. It marked the band’s first release since 2004’s eMOTIVe. Featuring the hit lead single, “The Doomed,” the record peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and topped Billboard’s Rock and Alternative charts. The subsequent tour marked their final live performances to date.

Puscifer’s Existential Reckoning was released in October of 2020 via Alchemy Recordings/BMG. Critically acclaimed, the record peaked at No. 7 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart. They are promoting the album heavily on this run, and the crowd’s reaction has been more than favorable. Due to overwhelming demand, the group added several global stops to the tour. Back in March, Puscifer released Existential Reckoning: Re-Wired, a re-imagining of their latest hit album. The cover art was done by Daniel Martin Diaz, and the record features special appearances by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails), Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age), Phantogram, and more.

In July, Primus will be hitting the road with Coheed and Cambria for an extensive co-headlining tour. The run kicks off on July 12 at the Redding Civic Auditorium in Redding, California. Special guests for the trek will be Guerilla Toss, TOO MANY ZOOZ, and Fishbone on respective dates. Before that, Primus will also play a handful of headline dates in select cities starting on May 6 at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Headlining shows will continue after the trek with Coheed and Cambria. Special guest Fantastic Negrito will open on various nights.

In 2022, Primus wrapped up their extensive Rush tribute tour, A Tribute to Kings. The run saw Primus performing Rush’s seminal 1977 album A Farewell to Kings in its entirety. Primus’s last studio effort was 2017’s The Desaturating Seven. The album hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart, and No. 2 on Top Alternative Albums.
